In the news published on TRTHaber.com, our lithium-ion battery simulator, developed with domestic resources under the leadership of Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE) Mechanical Engineering Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Serhan Özdemir, was introduced.
Summary:: “This innovative device can analyze the charging process of lithium-ion batteries, completing testing of batteries and charging circuits in just minutes. By reducing real-world charging times from hours to minutes, the simulator provides a critical solution for battery researchers, charging circuit designers and electric vehicle manufacturers.
While foreign equivalents cost between 2 and 4 thousand dollars, our domestic prototype cost approximately 3 thousand dollars including all research costs. In case of mass production, it is expected that this cost will be 1500 dollars or less.”
We are proud to offer a solution to an important need in Turkey with this innovation that provides cost advantage and speed in battery technologies.
